Sportringen is boosting its staff, creating new category management positions following its strong development over the past three years, going from 70 to 200 stores. Jonas Hellentin, a veteran of the outdoor industry who worked in the past for the Scandinavian Outdoor Group, will act as business area manager for outdoor, fishing and hunting at the Swedish sports retail group. He had been handling events for Sportringen. The bike segment will be covered by Johnny Törnblom, who comes from a distributor, Duells. A former Intersport store manager, Lars Palmgren, will handle ice hockey and other team sports.
