Stefan Mues has assumed the newly created position of chief digital officer and become a member of the executive board at the Calida group, which owns the Calida, Aubade, Millet, Oxbow, Eider and Lafuma brands. The 44-year-old will be responsible for the digitization of the group. He will report directly to Reiner Pichler, chief executive of the Calida group in Switzerland. Mues joined the group this April as chief executive for Reich Online Services. He will continue to do this job. Acquired by the group in March 2017, Reich Online Services is responsible for the online business of all Calida group brands. Mues was previously a member of the executive board at the Weltbild publishing group, where he was responsible for e-commerce until 2011. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer at the EM group for catering supplies and involved in the creation of a start-up. The Calida group reported a sales hike of 10.7 percent to 194.3 million Swiss francs (€167.8m-$196.1m), up by 3.5 percent in constant currencies, in the first half of this year. The Calida group's total operating profit (Ebit) amounted to CHF 5.5 million (€4.7m-$5.5m), down slightly from CHF 5.8 million, after investment in marketing, sales and e-commerce. Its net income dipped to CHF 4.4 million (€3.8m-$4.4m), down from CHF 5.9 million in the first six months of this year.
