The board of the Federal Association of the German Sporting Goods Industry (BSI) has appointed Stefan Rosenkranz as its new managing director. Rosenkranz will take up his new position on Feb. 1, 2021. Most recently, Rosenkranz worked as a business consultant for digitization processes. Prior to that, he held various management positions within the sporting goods industry, including almost 10 years as managing director of Oberalp Germany (Salewa, Dynafit, Wild Country, Pomoca). Rosenkranz will report to the newly elected board of directors of BSI, which consists of Dr. Markus A. Kürten (adidas), Peter N. Baehr (Puma) and Jan Lorch (Vaude).
The members of BSI elected the new executive committee and board of directors during their regular general meeting on Nov. 30. Also elected or confirmed in office as additional members were: Wolfgang Kraus (Fashy), Johannes Maier (Eurotramp), Andreas Kübler (Kübler Sport), Christian Schneidermeier (Ortovox), Frank Hölscher (Hölscher), Henrik Holzapfel (H+P), Andreas Schechinger (Tatonka), Udo Stenzel (Marker Dalbello Völkl) and Johannes Schumann (Amer Sports Germany).
