Thule Group announced on Jan. 29 that company veteran Wolfram Dittmer will assume sales responsibility for Central Europe as a result of the resignation of Thomas Syring, who led the Swedish brand’s Central European sales for the past four years. In total, Syring had been with the company for nearly 12 years. He will leave Thule on April 30, the company said.
Dittmer will assume responsibility for the product categories sports & cargo carriers, active with kids and packs, and bags & luggage in the region and will continue to report to Daniel Larsson, VP sales, Europe and rest of world. The RV products product category in the markets will continue to be led by Nils Ihsen. Dittmer previously served as sales director, successfully growing Thule Group’s business in the major markets of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Italy, and driving sales and category expansion in the region.
Dittmer’s move also triggers the promotion of another Thule Group veteran, Tomas Massl, currently sales manager for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, to sales manager East Europe, also reporting directly to Larsson. Massl began as a key account manager with Thule Group in the Czech Republic in 2013 and became country manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2015, also taking on additional responsibility for the Polish market in 2020.
