The European operations of Icebreaker, led by Maximilian Hofbauer as general manager, have appointed Sven Baxmann country manager for Germany. The 35-year-old worked previously for other companies including IKO-Corratec, a German bicycle retailer and marketer of the Corratec brand of bikes, as well as for Triumph International, a huge group that specializes in underwear and lingerie. Previously, the merino wool brand from New Zealand covered the German market through Wolfgang Jahn who acted as sales director. As already reported, Jahn switched to Sherpa, the outdoor apparel brand from Nepal, to build up its distribution across central Europe.
