The North Face has appointed Nicolas Vidal new vice president in charge of sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. In his new role, the Frenchman will report to his predecessor, Arne Arens, who was promoted last summer to vice president and general manager of the American outdoor brand for the same region. Vidal has held various management positions in Europe with top players in the industry. He was in charge of apparel at Décathlon for two years. Subsequently, he joined Nike Europe where he served for 11 years as head of apparel and for three years as sales manager for northern and central Europe. Before joing TNF and VF Corp., Vidal worked for three years at Asics.
