Vincent Wauters, president of Arc'teryx, has been appointed head of the apparel business unit for the whole Amer Sports group, taking the place of Jean-Philippe Torgue, who has not been active for several months. Wauters will have a similar function as Jean-Marc Pambet, president of the Salomon brand, who is in charge of the footwear business unit for the group. Meanwhile, Christian Finell, former general manager of Columbia Sportswear for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), has joined Salomon on a special assignment as vice president of business development for apparel and gear, reporting to Wauters. With that, he is in fact returning to Salomon, where he was head of EMEA for five years until the end of 2006. He then switched to Columbia Sportswear, where he remained in charge of EMEA until September 2013.
