Vincent Wauters, who has been the general manager of Arc'teryx since 2012, has been made president of Amer Sports' apparel business. He will again become a member of the group's executive board, and he will continue to run the Canadian-based brand. In connection with Wauters' appointment, Andy Towne will leave the group. The group's apparel business has more or less doubled since Towne was made head of apparel in 2010, but this has been mainly due to Arc'teryx' meteoric rise. Before running Arc'teryx, Wauters had acted as senior vice president of global operations for Amer since 2008, sitting on its executive board until his move to Vancouver.
