Woolrich, the old U.S. company of outdoor apparel, has promoted Nicholas Brayton to the role of president. Before, he was in charge of the brand's domestic licensing business. He is the first member of the Rich family at the top of the company since his father steered the firm, founded by John Rich in 1830 and based in Woolrich, Pennsylvania. Another descendant, Joshua Rich, has been appointed vice president in charge of international operations. Previously involved in the company as a business development analyst, he belongs to the eighth generation of the family. The new chief executive is John Ranelli who entered Woolrich's board last year after serving in various positions at Deckers and Timberland.
