Zopfi Sustainabe Business Development, the distribution company set up earlier this year by John Zopfi, former north European sales manager at Patagonia, has added several outdoor companies to its customer list. Zopfi, who has opted to deal only with companies that put a strong emphasis on sustainability, started his business a few weeks ago with two brands, Lundhags and Houdini. Since then he has added Icebug, the Swedish brand of running footwear with extra traction for slippery conditions, as well as Tilley, the Canadian brand of outdoor hats. Since the start of April Zopfi has been the agent of Klean Kanteen, part of the One Percent for the Planet organization, in the Netherlands. The American brand of sustainable drinking bottles had previously given distribution rights for the Benelux countries to Elements, a Belgian firm, which then teamed up with Zopfi for the Netherlands. Zamberlan, the Italian footwear brand, is the latest to sign with Zopfi. He established his company earlier this year after a short stint as European sales director at Sole Technology, the multi-brand board sports group.
