Hi-Tec Sports is asking the International Olympic Committee to recognize Liquid Mountaineering as an Olympic sport and consider it for the 2012 London Games. The sport, which Hi-Tec captured in a YouTube video, involves wooden ramps built under a pond with people supposedly running on water. Though competitions are held in the event in North and South America and Asia-Pacific, it is unlikely the IOC will give the request much credence.
