Jarden Corporation kept its position last year as the largest supplier in the annual sports equipment chart of Sporting Goods Intelligence with total sales of $2,312 million. The company, which owns Coleman (its largest brand, with sales of about $800 million), K2, Rawlings and other brands, actually raised its share of the global sports equipment market to 4.21 percent, despite a sales decline of 6.8 percent, as the total market fell by 9.6 percent at wholesale to $54.9 billion due to weaker consumer demand, lower retail inventories and lack of innovation.
