Bruno Alves, senior director of government and public affairs at Nike Europe, has been unanimously elected as the new president of Fesi, the European sporting goods industry federation of which the European Outdoor Group is a member. He will succeed Frank Dassler, general counsel of Adidas, who is a candidate to become the next president of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry. He will work with a group of executives made up of Dassler as well as Mark Held, secretary general of the EOG; Johan Adamson from Puma; Luca Businaro, president of Italy's Assosport and of Novation; and Michel Zany, president of the French sporting goods industry association (Fifas) and chief executive of Cornilleau (more in SGI Europe).
