Frank Hugelmeyer, who left the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) last year after four years as president and chief executive, is to become the next president of the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). He will become president-elect on July 13 and formally start at the beginning of October when Richard Coon retires after ten years in the presidential function. Since November, Hugelmeyer has been president of Recreation Influence Strategies, a management consulting firm based in Denver. The RVIA lauded him as an executive with international recognition in the outdoor recreation market and consumer trends. The RVIA represents about 400 manufacturers and component suppliers producing 98 percent of all RVs made in the U.S.
