Steve Barker, co-founder and former president of Eagle Creek, the Colorado-based maker of luggage, backpacks and accessories, will serve as interim executive director of the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) of the U.S., starting on Oct. 14. He is replacing Amy Roberts, who has stepped down to take a post at The North Face. According to Nora Stowell, chairman of the OIA's board, the OIA expects to interview candidates in November, select one in December and have a new executive director in place by early 2020. Barker has been serving as chairman of the Outdoor Foundation, the OIA's charity. Jen Mull Neuhaus, former owner of Backwoods and chairman of OIA's board from 2013 to 2015, will be taking over for him.
