The American edition of Sporting Goods Intelligence reports that a Californian individual is suing Columbia Sportswear because of the alleged recording of all incoming phone calls to its free service line without informing the caller. The plaintiff is seeking class-action status for his complaint. The man argues that this procedure is against the penal code of California and is, therefore, seeking up to $5 million in damages or $5,000 for each of the different individuals who called Columbia from California last year.
