More officials have left Capestorm, a major South African producer and retailer of outdoor apparel, according to Sports Trader, after the departure last July of the company’s founder Andrew Baxter, who agreed to become technical product developer at the biggest outdoor retailer in the country, Cape Union Mart. Three other Capestorm executives stepped down at the end of July: Ian Little held various positions in his six years at the company, and is now looking for new opportunities; Malcolm Loos, formerly in charge of Capestorm’s 10 stores, has taken the position of senior sales manager at Adventure Inc; and Sonia Clarke, planning and purchasing manager, plans to work on the manufacturing side of the industry. Then, at the end of August, an additional three employees announced their departure: Morne van der Merwe, marketing assistant and graphic designer; Stephen Hector, pattern maker; and Jenny Mielacher, design administrator.
