Nikwax has put out a report on its own efforts on corporate social responsibility. The 20-odd pages are really worth reading because the medium-sized company gives a detailed insight into its efforts to reduce energy waste. We think: Sustainability requires credibility, and Nikwax has made a good step in the right direction. Check out the report at nikwax.com. What neither vendors nor retailers nor consumers need any longer is the presentation of flagship products like backpacks made of coconut shells or tents made from potatoes. A validation of figures on the actual consumption of energy by the companies is what matters. Good point, Nikwax!
