Oboz, the American outdoor shoe company founded in 2008 by John Connelly, former general manager of Montrail, has sealed a distribution agreement for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan with Wild Rampage, a company that was distributing Montrail prior to the brand's takeover by Columbia Sportswear. Wild Rampage, which also distributes Osprey, Icebreaker and Smith Optics in China, had a small office on the second floor at the latest Ispo China show. The company is run by Joe Eberling, a former Nike official who has been in the country for 20 years. He also owns Iconx, a licensee and distributor of foreign skate and surf brands and China's largest chain of boardsports stores.
