Odlo is new main sponsor of the Biathlon-World-Challenge, Europe’s largest one-day event in that sport, which is annually held in the soccer stadium of Schalke, the Bundesliga club. During 2009 and 2010, the mega-event with 50,000 live spectators and 4 million TV spectators will bear the name Odlo-Biathlon-WTC. The event had its premiere in 2002. Since then, it has been proven very popular to organize top events in Nordic sports in German regions with typically little snow and little tradition in the activities. The events include a cross-country world cup in Düsseldorf and a biathlon race on summer skis that is held in Püttlingen, and that is also sponsored by the Swiss sportswear company.
