Optimer Performance Fibers has licensed Filidea to produce yarns using its Dri-Release With FreshGuard technology in Turkey. Filidea is a joint venture between Abalioglu Textile Industries of Turkey and Marchi & Fildi of Italy that was formed last June. Optimer said that Filidea has a “boutique” mentality that allows it to turn work around quickly and to handle small orders. The two companies are working together to create four to six colors of yarn featuring the moisture management technology to be kept in stock, primarily to make socks, for getting to the market faster. Filidea, which is certified for ISO-9000 and Oeko-Tex Standard 100, has offices in Denizli and Istanbul, Turkey, as well as one in Biella, Italy.
