Osprey Europe expects to record a sales increase of 24 percent to £32 million (€36.4m-$41.4m) for its 2016/2017 business year, which runs until the end of July. Sales outside the U.K. will account for 70 percent of the company's total sales in Europe. Sales in the German market were very positive with an expected increase of 35 percent during the period. The American brand of backpacks plans to expand its showroom in the Munich Order Center, MOC, where five employees are already based. In Germany, Osprey sells its products through agents as well as directly to some of the big German outdoor retail chains, like Globetrotter and SportScheck. The brand is sold in about 2,500 stores in Europe, with approximately 400 of them located in the U.K.
