Polartec is going to start using Polygiene’s silver-salt odor-resistant technology on its performance fabrics. Polygiene is approved for the Bluesign standard, as are most of Polartec’s fabrics, and is on Oeko-Tex’ safe list. Polygiene’s technology is antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria for the life of the garment. The first Polartec-Polygiene products, the “Power Dry” baselayer fabrics, will be available for consumers in spring 2011
