Primus, the Swedish stove specialist, has outlined its plans until 2020 with regard to production, development, product assortment and sales. The plan includes a new logo, which was launched this January, a new product assortment, sub-divided into several segments (expedition, trekking and campfire) as well as a new website, which was launched this March. For distributors, it will be easier to assess the appropriate retail channel, as the campfire segment is mostly sold to department stores and camping specialists, and the expedition and trekking segment to specialized outdoor retailers. Primus started selling directly to consumers via its website this spring. At the same time, Primus started to communicate on its “expedition service,” which offers a special customer service, including delivery of missing spare parts. At the OutDoor show, Primus won the Gold Award for its new Winter Gas, which will be on sale from this autumn.
