At the OutDoor by Ispo show in Munich, Vibram presented the XS Flash 2 compound for indoor and outdoor climbing. After two years of product development and research, the climbing sole was presented for the first time in Munich last month. Vibram is currently showing it to suppliers of climbing shoes and expects the first styles with the XS Flash 2 sole to hit the market in 2020. Vibram also reported that Asolo, Salming, Vasque and Altra Running will use its new Vibram Litebase technology for their spring/summer 2020 shoe collections. Vibram presented new applications for its technology that combines grip performance and lightness in a version of the sole with a three-dimensional design. In 2018, Vibram generated €20 million from its innovative FiveFingers and Furoshiki footwear collections – about a quarter of them online. Two new models of the FiveFingers footwear collection were presented at the OutDoor by Ispo show.
