Craghoppers, the U.K. company for travel gear, presented quite an interesting innovation at the OutDoor show that is designed to increase the safety of the traveller's data saved in the passport, on credit cards and so on. Many of those documents are equipped with a RFID chip (radio frequency identification). The problem is that the data on credit cards can be recorded unintentionally or on purpose by a person who passes by with a RFID reader. The bearer of those documents would not know. To protect the customer's data and money, Craghoppers is introducing garments where the pockets use material which blocks radio waves and protect the user's wallet.
