Fjällräven has been working together with Acne Studios to create and market an exclusive range of urban outdoor products launched by the two parties earlier this month. The Swedish Acne Studios said it was the first time Fjällräven allowed another brand to pay homage to classic pieces such as the Expedition Down jacket and the Kånken backpack. The progressive design studio explained that it studied the construction of each piece and kept its significant features, but then altered the design to bring the products into its own creative universe. This led to the addition of details like fake fur trims and reflective patches to the Expedition Down jacket, or an extended blush pink panel on the hem of a women's blue parka. Pockets have been oversized, and Fjällräven colors and technical materials have been used in playful ways. The Acne treatment given to the Kånken led to three one-off iterations, including a new version that can be turned into a messenger bag and a small Kånken clutch.
