For its urban outdoor collection, Keen has developed a new shoe model, called Innate x Sherpa, together with Sherpa Adventure Gear, the U.S. outdoor brand of garments and accessories from Nepal. The model will be presented for the first time at the Ispo 2019 show in Munich. For each pair of shoes sold, Keen will donate €15 to Room to Read, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships and school supplies for children in Nepal. Keen also plans to present three new hiking shoe models and a new trekking shoe at Ispo. The U.S. brand of outdoor shoes aims to use more sustainable materials in its shoe production. For its lifestyle collection, the company is using premium leather from U.S. tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. These production partners use innovative tanning processes in a closed loop system, reducing the use of water and chemicals and eliminating water pollution.
