With the reusable Filter Mask, the Spanish head- and neckwear specialist Buff presented a new three-layer mask made of CoolNet UV+ material, a Swiss-developed technology from HeiQ Materials, which is manufactured from 95 percent recycled polyester. The mask also features a replaceable filter system, developed by the Finnish company Ahlstrom-Munksjö, with 98 percent bacterial filtration efficiency. The mask meets the standard of a surgical mask but guarantees the lowest breathing resistance. In addition, an antibacterial HeiQ ViroBlock coating, which lasts up to ten washes at 60 degrees, ensures that microbes and germs are repelled and odours are controlled.
Two percent of Buff’s global sales from 2020 will be donated to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). This includes the proceeds from the new Filter Mask. The Buff donations will be used to support three of the organization’s global projects that address the needs of children as a result of Covid-19.
