Ternua, the producer of mountaineering apparel headquartered in Spain's Basque Country, launched its first collection of backpacks that are made to 100 percent of recycled and PFC-free materials. The range includes various types of products, from daypacks to backpacks for trekking. Recycled materials used for the backpacks include Nclon 210D R / S Recycled, which is retrieved from the recycling of plastic bottles, as well as Polyester 400 D Recycled, which results from the recycling of waste generated in the manufacture of yarn. The so-called Jagger backpack is made from the recycling of 12 plastic bottles. Spain still accounts for 65 percent of the company's total sales. Other important markets are Canada, the U.S. and France.
