Vivobarefoot has launched the Tracker Forest ESC, its latest high-performance boot for extreme forest and off-road conditions, available in men’s and women’s versions. The new footwear, which is part of the brand’s Extreme Survival Collection (ESC), was designed “in harmony with nature,” the brand said, and is made from renewable natural materials. The Tracker Forest ESC was created in collaboration with wilderness experts from Wild Human and the Independent Adventurer. The upper is made from Wild hide leather, a naturally scarred leather from free-roaming cattle sourced from small-scale farmers. The Michelin ESC Sole offers extreme traction using high-performance rubber and aggressive off trail lug design, to maximize ground feel, flexibility and grip on the most demanding terrain. The Tracker Forest ESC does not have a traditional waterproof membrane. The combination of sandwich mesh lining with Wild hide leather, then treated with the all-natural Renapur Leather Balsam contained in the shoe box, enables the leather to maintain its natural water resistant qualities while allowing the user’s feet to breath, the company explained. The Tracker Forest ESC has been designed to be remade and reworn. At the end of use, the shoe is not supposed to end to landfill but can be sent to revivo.com, Vivobarefoot’s program to revive and recondition old shoes, making them available to purchase again. The shoe is made in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, Vietnam.
