Volcom will be adding a branded line of eyewear and snow goggles to its product range next year. Electric Visual Evolution, which is also based in Southern California, will design, develop, produce and distribute the new line. Both companies were the property of Kering when the luxury group owned Puma. Kering sold it to different interests. The Authentic Brands Group took over Volcom last April. The first collection of eyewear will make its debut worldwide in 2020 at department stores, sports stores and Volcom's own stores as well as on Volcom.com. Volcom was founded to produce apparel for boardsports and now produces apparel and accessories for the outdoor, swimming and fashion sectors as well. It operates about 100 direct-to-consumer “retail outposts” around the world and is distributed through other retailers.
