Wetsleeve has raised more than five times its target in a Kickstarter campaign started in June for its lightweight and refillable hydration solution, to be worn on the forearm. The U.S. firm says it has teamed up with Development Never Stops (DNS), a Swiss design company, to make hydration easily accessible and to help reduce the use of plastic bottles. Wetsleeve launched the campaign to raise at least $25,000 but it ended up raising pledges for more than $175,000 from nearly 2,900 contributors. Put together with breathable and water resistant materials, the Wetsleeve can hold 350 millimeters of liquid and is available in three sizes. It comes with a silicone mouthpiece situated towards the wrist, allowing the user to drink from a natural position, with two built-in pockets to carry personal belongings like cards, keys or headphones. Wetsleeve says it's on track to deliver the orders in October.
