W.L. Gore presented at Ispo a new patent-pending multi-layer membrane technology, called Gore-Tex Pro, that consists of 100 percent ePTFE-based microstructures, bonded to the outer material, and a specially developed inner lining. After working on this project for four and a half years, extensive testing with mountain guides showed that the new membrane offers improved durability and up to 28 percent higher breathability. The new laminate has been adopted by several garment manufacturers in their autumn/winter 2013/14 collections, including Arc'teryx, Berghaus, Mammut, Marmot, Patagonia and The North Face.
