Blue Tomato is opening its second and third stores in Finland, a country where many customers have been ordering from its website for many years. “Despite the geographical distance, Finland has long been a high priority for us; the country has been a very strong and important market for us since the beginning of our international webshop activity. Now, we want to give our online customers the opportunity to experience our competent advice directly in-store,” said Tillmann Ruprecht, director of sales and service at Blue Tomato.
The Austrian-based action sports retailer owned by Zumiez opened its first shop in Finland in Helsinki one year ago. The two new physical stores will start business in Tempere and Turku later this month. The new locations will bring the number of physical Blue Tomato stores in Europe up to 54. Most of them are in Austria and Germany, others are in Switzerland and the Netherlands. Besides lifestyle and snowboard products, Blue Tomato also carries a full range of backcountry, splitboarding, freeskiing and other outdoor products.
