After the Yeah! AG from Germany, majority-owned by the Belgian A.S. Adventure Group and operator of 43 McTrek outdoor stores and an online shop, filed for insolvency on April 1, the retail chain can now reposition itself after a successful restructuring carried out by Thomas Rittmeister, lawyer and restructuring expert and his law firm in Frankfurt. As Fashion Network reports, a bidding consortium consisting of the Munich-based financial investor GA Europe and the Hanover-based management company CM Solutions has taken over the outdoor retail chain. For the purpose of its repositioning, the company McTrek Retail GmbH was founded, with CM Solutions’ Christian Müller as managing director. Dominik Poley, the former chairman of the board of Yeah! AG, was appointed as co-managing director. The new company will continue operations across Germany with 31 of the last 40 stores. This will probably save more than 300 jobs.
