Salewa has received the “Rosa de Plata” (“silver rose”), an award put out by the Barna Centre federation for the brand's new store in Barcelona, Spain. The Italian brand opened the store around the corner from the Ramblas, the city's famous street, in cooperation with the local Mañanes family as its first door in a major European city. Opened last September, the store has some 200 square meters of selling surface and has been named the “shop of the year” by a local retail association. The award was given to José Mañanes and Albert Carreras, the managing director of Salewa's Spanish subsidiary, by Xavier Trias, the mayor of Barcelona.
