Sherpa Adventure Gear has obtained exclusive retail space at Globetrotter in Munich, Berlin and Cologne. The Nepalese brand's sales manager for continental Europe, Wolfgang Jahn, said in a press release that consumer interest and demand have been most encouraging so far. Special displays for the partnership with Globetrotter were developed in Oakham, where Sherpa's European business is supervised by Bradshaw Taylor, the distribution company. They emphasize the technical aspects of the products as well as their Nepalese identity, since about 90 percent of the brand's products are made in the country. Another point appreciated by consumers, as reported by Globetrotter employees to Sherpa, is that the company donates a share of the proceeds from its sales to the Paldorje Education fund, to support the education of children from under-privileged Sherpa families.
