Sherpa Adventure Gear opened its first flagship store in the U.S. on Nov. 11 in Seattle, where the company is based. Besides its product range, which is largely developed and produced in Nepal, it features Nepalese furniture and decoration, plus pictures of sherpas, one of whom died in an avalanche on Mount Himalaya in April 2014. Sherpa Adventure Gear already has an active web shop. The new owners of the company, who took it over early last year, feel that the move will help obtain insights into the customers' reactions to the company's offerings.
