Satmap, the British supplier of satellite navigation solutions, has hired Sophie Nicolay for the newly created job of a marketing director. Helen Calthrop-Owen, the wife of Satmap’s co-founder Richard Calthrop-Owen, was in charge of both marketing and public relations and will continue to be in charge of communication. In the Benelux countries, Matterhorn BV has been picked as Satmap’s new distributor. The company represents also Sigg, Granger’s and Mountain Equipment in the region. New distributor in Switzerland is Icon Outdoor Distribution, the local importer of Cascade Design among others. In Germany, Satmap sealed an agreement with the local alpine club which sells Satmap solutions to its members.
