Scarpa shoes are the new official footwear sponsor of Exum Mountain Guides, a well-known service in North America. The company’s demo fleet will be made up of Scarpa approach shoes and mountain boots, including a new one, the Dharma Pro, that was designed specifically to meet Exum’s requirements for climbing in the Tetons, in Wyoming, which requires a shoe that offers support and cushioning for the walk into the mountains but is still sensitive enough to climb rocks. All of Exum’s full-time guides, about 70 people, will wear Dharma Pros. The shoe will be available to the public for 2011.
