Schoeller Textil has won this year’s Innovation Prize among the Premère Vision Awards given at the eponymous textile fair in Paris. It won the prize for it new Energear technology, a fabric that has a transversely elastic bonded wool/polyester blend. The company says it provides maximum protection against wind and weather, and is breathable and comfortable. In addition, a special titanium and mineral matrix is integrated into the fabric, which allows the body’s far infrared rays to be reflected back to the wearer, promoting blood circulation and higher blood-oxygen levels.
