SmartWool has transferred its European headquarters from the U.K. to the office of VF Corporation (VFC) Europe in Lugano, Switzerland. Chris Hahn, who has headed SmartWool Europe for almost five years and has spent nine years with SmartWool in total, has relocated to Lugano. Some other executives have left the company including Richard Codgbrook, former European marekting manager; Hal Adala, operations manager; and Tim Butler, European sales director. Meanwhile, SmartWool's European team has been expanded with two more industry veterans added to the sales and marketing department, Udo Heyder and Jennifer Howland. Heyder joins SmartWool from The North Face, where he has been the international area manager for nine years. Howland comes to Lugano from SmartWool's global headquarters in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She will lead SmartWool Europe's marketing initiatives, with a focus on driving consistency at retail. Also in the marketing department, SmartWool had recently appointed Molly Cuffe and Steve Metcalf to the posts of global creative director and senior global communications manager, respectively.
