Starting with the autumn/winter 2009-10 season, Lafuma’s Italian sales subsidiary, L.M.O. Italia, is taking on the distribution of Eider in Italy from a distributor, Viking Nord Pool, that represents Rab and other outdoor brands. As with the other brands of the group, L.M.O. Italia will use a separate sales network for the brand, covering all the mountain regions in the northern and central part of the country, but the back office will be shared. As it already has a total of about 400 clients for Lafuma, Millet and Le Chameau in Italy, it hopes to broaden Eider’s presence in the country beyond the 50-odd stores that carry the brand. Lafuma has also taken over the distribution of Eider in Germany.
