The loss of a major U.S. client continued to affect the results of Coleman, leading to a 6 percent decline to $626.6 million in the Home and Outdoor Living segment of Newell Brands in the first quarter. The segment suffered an operating loss of $1.5 million as compared to a profit of $7.8 million. Excluding restructuring and transaction-related costs, the normalized operating income declined by 41 percent to $12.3 million. Overall, Newell reported a net loss of $151.2 million on 5 percent lower revenues of $1.71 billion for the quarter.
