The North Face has decided not to shut down its EMEA office near Montebelluna after it had announced that its operations would be transferred to VF Corporation's European office in Lugano, Switzerland. The brand held negotiations with the Italian trade unions and decided to keep there not only the Italian sales operations, which were going to be moved to Milan, but also the European customer service functions. In return, TNF is moving sales, marketing, forecasting and retail management for the EMEA region to Switzerland. In effect, 80 employees stay in Italy while 100 will move to Lugano.
