The Odlo Sports Group is investing massively in its European logistics and manufacturing facilities: The Swiss brand will bundle its central logistics and the administration of its German operations at a modern new site of more than 26,000 square meters in Brüggen, Germany. Construction will start in March 2012, and the complex is set to become fully operational one year later. In the meantime, Odlo will double production at its facility in Bacau, Romania, expanding it from 5,000 to 10,000 square meters by June next year. The company already makes some 79 percent of its production volume in Europe, including Portugal and the Middle East, ensuring shorter delivery times than from the Far East. Meanwhile, Odlo aims to improve on accessories such as headwear and gloves. Birgit Schmitt, the product manager in charge of the brand's tec shirts, will be additionally in charge of the accessory line assisted by Petra Reimann, product developer.
