The same magazine says that Scarpa Schuhe, the German distribution company for the Italian footwear brand by the same name, reached sales of €4.3 million in 2009, or 27 percent more than in the previous year. The figure includes the sale of Osprey backpacks, which Scarpa Schuhe distributes in Germany. The latter’s managing director, Pierre-Alain Romagnoli, has left the company and has been replaced by Manfred Strophff, previously the customer service manager.
