Thomas Lipke, joint managing director of Globetrotter, was set to be elected president of the German Distance Retailing Federation (BVH) at its annual meeting in June, replacing Rolf Schäfer, who has retired as chief executive of Schwab, a company of the Otto Group. The federation, whose members are gradually shifting from traditional mail-order operations to e-commerce, is also getting a new and younger general manager, Christoph Wenk-Fischer. He has been working at BVH since last October to prepare the succession of Thomas Steinmark, who is retiring.
