A number of outdoor and snow sports textile brands have come together to organize a new physical trade event called the Annecy Days - Winter Edition. Scheduled for Jan. 11-12, it will be patterned after ASAP but be limited to B2B dealings at the brands’ permanent or temporary showrooms in the French city of Annecy.
Outdoor Sports Valley and Union Sport & Cycle have volunteered to help with the initiative, and some 40 brands and 25 companies – among them Colmar, Degré 7, Goldbergh, Haglöfs, Helly Hansen, Picture Organic Clothing, Scott Sports, Goldwin, Ortovox and Regatta Great Outdoors – have agreed, in principle, to take part. The registration fee has been capped at €1,000. Annecy Days has resolved not to impinge on Sport Achat, the bigger French show scheduled for March, and to deploy all requisite safety measures in light of the pandemic.
One of the organizers, a founding member of ASAP, Jean-Jacques Wrobelwski, will be retiring in the first quarter of next year. Wrobelwski stepped down from Idealp last year to become a consultant.
